Carving Out a Career as an Author

Join author and publishing professional Julia Forster for a professional development mind-mapping workshop at the Free Word Centre in Farringdon, London, delivered for The Literary Consultancy.

Over an intensive two hour period, we will explore the practical aspects of carving out a career as an author. Concentrating on a timeline over the next twelve months in order to set clear intentions for our writing lives, we’ll map out the opportunities and obstacles which are both motivating us but also getting in our way.

You will come out with a set of articulated goals, and a better sense of how to balance your creativity against your productivity. Covering a range of genres, this session will offer hard-won perspective, advice and solutions for moving writing careers forwards, and has been designed to accommodate both newer and more established authors.

Coffee and tea will be provided during a short comfort break.

All participants will need to bring writing material to this workshop.

Places for this workshop, which has been especially designed for a small group, are limited to a maximum of 12, to ensure that the advice given is as targeted as possible. For details on how to book onto the workshop visit this page on The Literary Consultancy website.
